Signature Talks
“Embracing and intentionally crafting my personal brand allowed me to survive layoffs, transform my career and become a nationally-recognized expert in my field. You have a personal brand whether you want one or not, so why not harness its power to change your life?"
My Game-Changing Moment
I once sat on a panel of accomplished female leaders and was asked a thought-provoking question: what was your game-changing moment?
For me, it was the day I started calling myself an "expert." It was in an email to an editor at Forbes, to which he responded by asking me to join his team as a contributor. From there, I landed two book deals and a full-time job offer from ESPN to become its first - and still only - female sports business reporter.
My first published book, Saturday Millionaires, has been used in dozens of college classrooms across the country and became the catalyst for my speaking career.
“In a word she was outstanding. The breadth and depth of her knowledge of the business of college athletics is very worthwhile – but her insights are priceless. She is an excellent communicator and had my graduate students completely engaged throughout her presentation.”
