I’m frequently asked how I got to my current position as a sports business reporter for ESPN. Well, it all started with a tax law seminar that fit nicely into my schedule during my 3L year and a professor who was willing to let me think outside the box. When I approached him wanting to write about internal taxation in baseball instead of the Internal Revenue Code, which was the basis for every other student’s paper, he didn’t hesitate to say yes. That’s the definitive moment I can point to and say “That’s where it all began.”
Thank you to UF Law Magazine for telling a little bit of my story in the current issue. You can click here to read the full article.
